Where Development Currently Stands
09/08/2026
We’re trying to get our marketing sorted out this week. Neither of us are active on any social media at all, so we’re not used to keeping an up to date Instagram account, or having a TikTok account! We had already set the accounts up for little pickle games, but have not really posted anything on there yet!
We found an old video of us playing Phasmaphobia (which is the whole reason this game is being made) and the reason we’re making this game is still valid! One of us is still absolutely terrified! The video may make it to our social accounts!
We’ve also had some discussions surrounding the timeline for getting the game released on Steam. The rate at which we are working looks like it could be years before we get to a point where we’re happy to release it.
Due to this we have set up a kickstarter to raise funds to help us get the game ready for release quicker! The page isn’t open yet but here’s the link for when it is:

Keep an eye on our social media accounts as we will be adding videos and pictures very soon!
And again, if you haven’t already, add us to your Steam wishlist!

We’ve got loads done recently!
The main thing is we are now showing as “Coming Soon” on Steam!
We’ve also uploaded a build of Finding Fairies onto Steam so we can test it, and get a few other people to test it!
We’ve also sorted out cloud saving on Steam so the game constantly saves as you play.
Once we’d got that sorted we made a list of what else needs to be done before we can set the game as ready for review by Steam.
Some of our to do list has been ticked off already, such as fixing client side dust (I couldn’t see the fairy dust when joining a game), updating our logo for when the game starts up, changing the size of the name plaque, removed the tool table in the main lobby (was there for testing) and we’ve improved the look of the dust reaction.
Still to do is some big bits! We’ve made 3 maps, but they still need some improving and we want to create 2 more before launch. We also need to start incorporating daily/weekly challenges and progression. We know what our plan is with it now though.
We’re very happy with how gameplay is and the overall look of the game, but still need a lot of improving.
We’ve created our first trailer, so that is on Steam (also added it to the website).
Add the game to your Steam wishlist if you haven’t already 🙂

We’ve been very busy over the last month with our regular jobs so haven’t had a lot of progress. However, the past couple of days we have done a huge push with progress. We have 2 maps ready to go and a third currently in the middle of being built. 3 different look players have been built and are in game. We’ve also perfected the online aspect so joining with friends is working.
We’ve now submitted our game to Steam for review so that it can be shown as “Coming Soon”! That should take a few days and hopefully will be accepted.
We’ve also had some in-depth discussions surrounding progression and how it’s going to work. We have got some exciting ideas, some of which will be ready for day 1, some will be added in later once the game has a good amount of players.
On our to do list:
– Finish the third map
– Create a trailer for Steam and social media accounts
– Start using the social media accounts to start advertising
– Fixing animations
– Adding progression

We’ve had a slower couple of weeks, but good progress has been made with building the tools. All tools have been developed and are working exactly how we planned. We’ve also created the concept art for each tool, which we’ll be releasing each one over time.
More on the coding side of things, we’ve been cleaning it up making sure the game runs smoothly and can be played on both high and low spec PCs. We’re also looking to get the game available on all platforms, but this will be in the further future.
We’ve also created a Steam account and started setting up the game ready to be “Coming Soon”.
What’s next?
– Create a player
– Customisable outfits
– Further develop maps
– Starting working on creating a trailer

Most of the work being done in the last 2 days has been creating, perfecting and testing the tools. So far we’ve created 2 tools, both working perfectly in game, with a third tool currently being built.
We’ve also got some concept art created for the tools so we can soon reveal what the tools are going to look like and how they’re going to behave!
We’re also starting work on our social media accounts. We’re starting to record some videos and take some screenshots to start showing the world.
Where are we going next?
– Upload screenshots and videos to our social media pages
– Finish creating the tools
– Starting on new maps
– Work on progression and awards
